Updated September 3, 2026

RARE - SAFE QUEEN - LOW SERIAL NUMBER - TWO TONE - ONLY 1000 PRODUCED - CUSTOM EDITION Manufacturer: Colt Model: Commander Gold Cup (CGC265) Approximate Year: 1996 Caliber: .45 ACP Action: Semi-Automatic Barrel Length: 4.25" Commander Barrel Finish: Factory Two-Tone Grips: Factory Black Wraparound Grips with Silver Colt Medallions Description Exceptional Colt Commander Gold Cup semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Manufactured in 1996, this scarce Commander-length 1911 combines the compact 4.25-inch Combat Commander platform with the precision-target features of the renowned Gold Cup series. Features include a factory two-tone finish, adjustable target rear sight, wide Gold Cup trigger, Commander-style hammer, extended thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and factory black wraparound grips with silver Colt medallions. The Commander Gold Cup is among Colt's most desirable modern-production 1911 variants. Collector references report production of approximately 1,000 examples of this configuration, making these pistols significantly less common than standard Government Model Gold Cups and increasingly sought after by Colt collectors. This example appears to have spent most of its life in a safe and presents in like-new condition. It shows virtually no visible signs of handling or carry and may have only been fired a handful of times since leaving the factory. It includes the original Colt hard case and an additional magazine, making it an outstanding addition to any Colt collection. Condition Appears to be in like-new condition with an exceptionally well-preserved factory finish. The pistol exhibits little to no visible wear and retains outstanding overall appearance. Mechanics appear excellent based on handling. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and represent the firearm's overall condition. Please Note This lot includes the Colt Commander Gold Cup pistol, original Colt hard case, and one additional magazine as shown in the photographs. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and accurately represent the firearm's overall condition. Firearm is sold as-is.
