Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield, Serial No. 1591945. One of the most recognizable American military service rifles, the M1 Garand features John C. Garand’s semi-automatic, gas-operated design and eight-round en-bloc clip system. The M1 served as the standard U.S. service rifle through World War II and into the Korean War era, making it an enduring piece of American military firearms history. This firearm is in good overall condition. The metal surfaces remain in good condition with finish and wear consistent with its age and use. The wood furniture shows typical handling and service marks, with one small piece missing from the upper/top wood at the forend. Please refer closely to the photographs for the location and extent of the wood loss. The rifle is accompanied by a leather sling and bipod, adding to the overall presentation of the firearm.
