This 19th-century Empire / Late Classical games table is crafted from rich mahogany and features a swivel flip-top design. The tabletop swivels 90 degrees and unfolds to transform from a compact console or side table into a broad, square gaming surface, revealing an internal storage compartment beneath the leaves for playing cards and game accessories. The top rests on a heavy faceted central pedestal mounted to a flared quadform base with rolled feet and caster wheels. The apron and pedestal feature flame mahogany grain accents throughout. The piece retains strong structural integrity. It displays authentic age-appropriate surface wear, including finish distressing, light scuffs, scratches, and minor edge wear consistent with age and historical use. 30" high. 36" X 35" when opened. 36" X 17.5" when closed.
