An assortment of six pairs of antique infant footwear, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This collection features various styles common to the Victorian and Edwardian eras, frequently utilized for display on large antique dolls. The group includes off-white leather booties with five-button closures, cream-colored examples with a heavily textured finish and large white glass buttons, and a pair in brown pebbled leather. Also included are two-tone tuxedo style booties with black lowers and white uppers, alongside additional off-white and solid black leather pairs. Construction consists of flexible thin leather soles suitable for pre-walkers, with side-button fastenings featuring milk glass style buttons. The interiors show remnants of cloth or canvas linings. No maker marks or size stamps are visible on the soles or interiors of any pair. These antique booties show expected wear consistent with their age and historical use. Most pairs exhibit surface creasing, scuffing, and minor staining typical for late 19th-century leather. Some material degradation is present, including surface crazing.
