1964 Kennedy Silver Half Dollar BU $320 This 1964 Kennedy Silver Half Dollar is presented in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, showcasing the original mint luster and sharp strike characteristic of a coin that has never entered general circulation. As a first-year issue, this piece holds significant historical value, being the only year the Kennedy Half Dollar was struck in 90% fine silver for business circulation before the composition was changed to 40% silver in 1965. The reverse features a highly detailed Presidential Seal, including the intricate feathers of the eagle and the surrounding ring of stars, while the obverse displays Gilroy Roberts' iconic portrait of John F. Kennedy. Housed in a protective flip with a retail designation and inventory tracking, this coin is a cornerstone for any serious U.S. coinage collector, representing both a memorial to a fallen president and the final era of high-purity silver circulating currency in America.
