ceramic birds featured in the foreground that are vintage, hand-carved art pottery figurines from the renowned Artesanía Rinconada studio. Founded in Uruguay by twin brothers Jesús and Javier Carbajales, this studio is highly collectible and celebrated for its distinctively textured, unglazed stoneware accented with subtle colorful enamel glazes. The Eagle: The larger figurine on the left is the classic Artesanía Rinconada Eagle (Mold #1). It features meticulously carved, tiered body feathers, a white ruff around its neck, and vibrant blue-glazed accent blocks lining the upper ridge of its wings. The Vulture / Condor: The smaller figurine on the right is the Artesanía Rinconada Condor / Vulture (Mold #70). It captures a characteristically hunched posture, complete with a prominent white-ruffed neck collar, dark-blue glazed wing feathers, and a distinctive red-accented crest on its head.
