This box is fascinating. It's also a frustrating little riddle. It's clearly marked Souchong English Breakfast Tea and Samovar #17, but the characters on the front of the box translate to the Japanese word for fruit. Then there's the graphics. One is of a man holding a hoop and the other is of a man who looks like holding an acrobat ring in each hand. The box is amazing, let's just settle on that. It was imported to Arbuckles and Co. Wholesale Grocers in Pittsburgh. Arbuckles was a prominent coffee importer in the city. They were located on Liberty Ave.
