Pair of gold filled antique spectacles. This design is what we think of when we think of antique glasses. The long, curved stems were designed to fit snugly over each ear presumably to keep the glasses from slipping. Keep in mind, these are antique so the lenses are glass which makes them heavier than modern eyewear.
