This amazing wooden cigar box is from The Standard Cigar Company. The cigars were called Japanese Tans. You'll notice that the "H" in Pittsburgh is missing. That would indicate that the box was made some time between 1816 and 1911. Ever since 1911, Pittsburghers have been very possessive of that "H." Considering the age of this piece it is in good condition.
