Babcock Phillips Corporation mid-century modern footstool, Richmond, Virginia. This piece features dark-stained tapered wood legs attached to a fiberboard base with metal plates. The original avocado green vinyl upholstery exhibits adecorative diamond-stitched pattern and welted edges. An underside law tag lists 85% excelsior and 15% shredded colored urethane foam padding. 21 x 13 x 13.5 inches.Vintage condition reflects age well. Upholstery retains bold color and crisp corners with minor mottling and a tiny puncture at the edge (photo 3). Legs show light scuffing; ferrules are tarnished.
