Johnny Gruelle and Harold Gray characters highlight this collection of Crooksville, Kokura, and Tusport ceramics. Pieces include 1941-dated Raggedy Ann ware, Little Orphan Annie Ovaltine mugs, and Three Little Pigs designs. Various forms comprise divided plates, alphabet bowls, small pitchers, and a Humpty Dumpty bank. Transfer-printed illustrations highlight early comic and nursery rhyme appearances. Largest measures at 9 inches round. Bold colors and crisp imagery. Expected age-related crazing and footing wear. Foot rim of large Raggedy Ann plate displays significant chips and heavy surface crazing (photo 9). Stopper is present.
