This German bisque socket head doll is mounted on a composition ball-jointed body. It features blue glass sleep eyes and an open mouth with four teeth. The head features impressed capital letters reading HEINRICH HANDWERCK and SIMON &HALBIG with the numeral 9 1/2 above two circular vent holes. The figure is dressed in a white cotton eyelet lace dress with mesh stockings and gold-painted shoes. The bisque head is free of cracks. The composition body shows surface crazing and wear at joints. Shoes exhibit heavy flaking to the gold finish. Dress and stockings are in good condition.
