This item is a vintage hand-painted ceramic ewer or whiskey jug featuring an Art Nouveau-style pinecone and pine needle motif with a gold-gilded spout and a green loop handle. Pieces with similar hand-painted pinecone designs from Japanese or early 20th-century makers typically date from the 1910s to the mid-20th century. The bulbous body displays detailed dimensional or shaded pinecones against a cream and yellow-washed background.
