vintage clear pressed-glass locomotive train candy container. Two-piece figural pressed-glass container shaped like a steam engine locomotive (often cataloged as mold #1028).History: These nostalgic pieces were popular in the early-to-mid 20th century, originally sold in five-and-dime stores filled with small candies and meant to double as toys.Design Features: Molded clear glass featuring dimensional details including a cowcatcher at the front, spoked wheels, boiler accents, and a smokestack. Measures approximately 6 x 4 1/2 x 3 There is a small chip on both sides in the middle on the inside of the candy dish, which does not detract from the looks at all.
