Excellent selection of a vintage kerosene oil lamp, perfect for any collector to put on display. Produced by Aladdin Industries, this item is a Model 23 Aluminum Railroad caboose kerosene mantle lamp. This historic utility rail lamp features an iconic brushed aluminum fuel font paired with an authentic, early-production Model 23 burner basket. The burner collar features an adjuster knob boldly stamped “23 Aladdin” and the outer framework reads “Manufactured Under U.S. Patent No. 3501880”. Based upon cross referencing the stamps, it appears that this unit was produced somewhere between 1969 to 1971. The lot also comes with a tall glass chimney and a new in box replacement wick (new old stock). Overall item measures 21.25” H x 6.5” W. There is some slight rustic wear but that fits the vintage rustic motif, making it a perfect inclusion within anyone’s farmhouse or railroad design theme. Item is formally untested but easily appears complete upon basic overview.
