This lot is for a unique vintage pendant featuring 18K gold Gemini zodiac motif of dancing figures. The base of this pendant is possibly a Mucuna sea bean according to some research. The other side of the pendant features gothic or Victorian old-English 18K script that reads either “FB” or “HB”. Measures 1.25” tall x 1” wide. Mucuna sea beans—also known as hamburger seeds, ox-eye beans, or drift seeds—come from tropical vines and wash ashore on beaches worldwide. People polish these natural seeds and turn them into lucky amulets or pendants. While Victorian-era pieces occasionally featured gold caps or mounts (often 9K or 10K gold), finding an 18K gold setting usually requires a high-end artisan jeweler or a custom commission.
