5 Vintage Silver Roosevelt Dimes $274 This collection features five vintage Roosevelt Dimes, valued for their historical significance and precious metal content. Composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, these coins date back to the early years of the Roosevelt series, including two from 1946, one from 1950, one from 1951, and one from 1954. The set displays a range of natural aging, with the 1954 specimen showing deep, dark toning while the others retain a classic circulated silver luster with visible profile details. These dimes represent the era of "junk silver" highly sought after by stackers and numismatists alike for their intrinsic bullion value and American heritage. Each coin carries the iconic left-facing portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt, a design introduced in 1946 to honor the late president's leadership and his involvement with the March of Dimes. These pieces are an excellent addition for any collector looking to own a tangible part of post-WWII American coinage history. Condition: The five Roosevelt dimes shown exhibit a range of circulated conditions. Two 1946 specimens and the 1950 specimen appear to be in Very Good to Fine condition, displaying significant wear on the hair details and high points of Roosevelt's portrait. The 1951 specimen shows slightly better detail, potentially in the Fine to Very Fine range. The 1954 specimen is heavily toned or environmental damaged, appearing nearly black, which significantly impacts its eye appeal though the underlying detail remains. None of these coins are professionally graded and they are considered raw, circulated "junk silver" coins. Mint: The visible dates are 1946 (two coins), 1950, 1951, and 1954. Without seeing the reverse sides, the specific mint marks (S for San Francisco or D for Denver) cannot be identified; coins without marks were minted in Philadelphia. Metal content: These coins are composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. Each coin originally contained approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of pure silver.
