The coin is housed in an ICG slab and is noted as being part of a comprehensive 22-coin Satin Finish Mint Set. An excellent addition for collectors of modern high-grade copper coinage and specialized mint set issues. 2005-P ICG SP69 Satin Finish Lincoln Memorial Copper Penny 1c Condition: This specimen is professionally graded by ICG as SP69, indicating a near-perfect strike and preservation with only the most microscopic imperfections visible under magnification. The coin features the distinct Satin Finish, characterized by a soft, matte luster rather than the reflective surface found on standard business strikes. The metal content is copper-plated zinc. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin was issued specifically for the 2005 United States Mint Uncirculated Set. Unlike standard circulation coins, these were produced using sandblasted dies and higher pressure to create the Specimen (SP) strike type. Historically, this finish was reintroduced in 2005 to enhance the quality of annual mint sets, making this a specific and desirable variety for Lincoln cent collectors. 2005 penny, Lincoln cent, ICG graded, slabbed coin, satin finish, mint set, numismatics, coin collecting, SP69, US currency, collectible coin, P mint mark 2005 Lincoln Penny, ICG SP69, Satin Finish Mint Set, US Mint Coins, Heritage Coins, Graded Penny, Numismatic Collectibles, Rare Pennies, 2005-P Lincoln Cent, Coin Collecting IMPORTANT BIDDER NOTICE Bidder is solely responsible for determining value, condition, completeness, authenticity, fitment, grade, and usefulness before bidding.
