Serial # NSN. .43 Spanish (?) caliber single shot rifle with a 20-1/2” barrel. The bore is very good, mostly clean with strong rifling with some isolated rough spots. The receiver is un-marked except for an “S” on the left side, the upper tang has 3 line Remington markings. The gray metal finish on the barrel is an older refinish and is in good condition showing scratches and scattered light rust spots with underlying dings and light pitting. The barrel band has been re-blued and shows little wear. The blued metal finish on the receiver and trigger guard is in good condition showing edge wear, thinning and scratches with scattered light surface rust. The steel butt plate is a gray patina with scattered spots of light rust. The rear sight is a small flip type. The plain walnut stock and forearm are in very good condition showing scattered light dings, dents and scratches, mostly on the forearm with light finish wear. The action works fine. The caliber must be verified before any attempt at firing.
