R Serial # WW2479. .45 ACP caliber semi auto pistol with a 5” barrel. The bore is excellent. 7 round detachable magazine. Commemorative 1911 pistol issued to commemorate WWII. The pistol features a polished blue slide and frame with gold plated small parts, gold accents and special markings. The blued metal finish on the slide is in excellent condition showing little wear with some very light scuffs from handling. The polished blue finish on the slide is excellent as well showing little to no wear. The smooth polished hardwood grips with a WWII medallion are in excellent condition showing little to no sign of use. The action works fine. The pistol appears to be unfired. Includes a presentation case and the outer box.
