This historic 1944-S US-Philippines Fifty Centavos coin was struck by the San Francisco Mint during World War II. Composed of 75% silver, it features a standing female figure with an anvil on the obverse and the US-Philippines Commonwealth shield on the reverse. Testing confirms a magnet does not stick, verifying its non-magnetic silver alloy composition. An excellent, affordable addition for collectors of wartime military history or world silver coinage.
