Antique Gurj Nadeem No. 2 padlock with original key, featuring a substantial rectangular metal body and heavy rounded shackle. The front is engraved with “GURJ NADEEM,” “NUMBER 2,” “TRADE MARK,” and “LOCK,” together with a six-pointed star emblem, lantern-like trademark device, and decorative foliate engraving surrounding the keyhole. The lock retains its separate period key, currently tied to the shackle with cord. Construction details include a layered metal case, visible riveted fasteners, thick curved shackle, and numerous hand-worked or assembled components visible on the reverse. The aged surface shows a darkened silver-gray patina with oxidation and wear that emphasizes its utilitarian character.
