Substantial Harrison brass 7-lever padlock with matching brass key, displaying classic heavy-duty construction and a strong aged industrial appearance. The lock has a thick rectangular brass case paired with a substantial dark iron/steel shackle, while the face retains stamped maker and mechanism markings that appear to read “Harrison” and “7 LEVER.” Harrison is a recognized maker of 7-lever brass padlocks, with comparable Harrison examples described as 7-lever brass security locks.

Included is a large period brass key with an oval bow, attached to the lock by an old multicolored braided cord in red, orange, green, black, and cream. The photographs show the key inserted into the upper locking mechanism as well as the heavy shackle released from the lock body, offering a good view of its mechanical construction.

The solid rectangular casing has a warm golden-brass patina with numerous scratches, rubbed areas, oxidation, small stains, and handling marks accumulated through use. The contrasting dark shackle and colorful old cord give the piece especially appealing character as an early utilitarian object. The reverse and sides are comparatively plain, emphasizing the substantial thickness and weight of the brass lock body and period metalwork .Particularly attractive collectible for enthusiasts of antique locks and keys, architectural hardware, industrial artifacts, mechanical security devices, trade hardware, or early utilitarian metalwork.

Dimensions: Approx. 1.5 x 2.5 in.

Weight: 131 g

Reference #: AB1041

Condition: Antique condition with substantial age-related wear, scratches, surface oxidation, patination, discoloration, rubbing, and minor marks throughout. The braided cord shows noticeable fraying and wear. Photographs show the shackle in both closed and released positions and the key inserted, but continued mechanical operation is not guaranteed. Please review all photographs carefully for construction, markings, completeness, and condition.
