Glass Company around 1899. This highly collectible line is a prominent example of Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG). Key Characteristics Color: Emerald green non-flint pressed glass. Ornamentation: Detailed stippled background accented with embossed flowers, leaves, and a hand-painted gold-flashed trim.Alternate Names: The "Delaware" pattern is also historically known as American Beauty, Four Petal Flower, or New Century. Identification of the Set Right Piece: Oval Fruit Bowl / Banana Bowl (typically measuring around 11.5" to 12" in length). Left Piece: Master Berry Bowl / Round Serving Bowl (typically measuring 8" to 8.25" in diameter). Also included in this lot is a Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) souvenir custard cup in the "Colorado" pattern (originally named OMN #15057) manufactured by the United States Glass Company.Key CharacteristicsHistory: Introduced in 1898, this pattern was part of U.S. Glass Company's popular "States" series and was manufactured extensively through the turn of the century.Design Features: Made from rich emerald green pressed glass, the cup sits on three ornate, molded structural feet styled to resemble traditional metal ormolu or tripod stands.Souvenir Customization: Items in this line were highly sought-after carnival and fairground souvenirs.
