Antique 2-gallon salt-glazed stoneware crock featuring a cobalt blue capacity mark and classic “bee sting” decoration. Cylindrical form with rounded rim, incised shoulder lines and dark glazed interior. This traditional cobalt motif is associated with 19th-century American stoneware and was produced by multiple potteries. Maker is unmarked/unknown and is not attributed to a specific pottery. Shows expected age-related wear and surface character, with a visible vertical hairline/crack extending from the rim. An attractive piece of early American utilitarian stoneware. See photos for complete condition.
