Antique floor-standing treadle spinning wheel featuring solid oak construction with a heavy cast iron drive wheel. Includes the original flyer assembly, bobbin, treadle, and tension adjustment. A substantial working-style spinning wheel dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The wheel retains an attractive original finish with normal age and use wear. Excellent candidate for restoration, display, or continued use by a knowledgeable spinner. Antique oak treadle-powered spinning wheel with cast iron drive wheel, double spool flyer assembly, and built-in yarn guides. Attractive quarter-sawn oak construction with solid joinery and a foot treadle drive. Appears complete and well preserved, making it an excellent display piece or restoration candidate for fiber arts collectors. A desirable early spinning wheel with strong decorative appeal.
