This contemporary figurative sculpture, titled Play Time, is an authorized Alvastone reproduction by Alva Museum Replicas after an original clay work by Peggy Mach. The piece depicts a kneeling woman embracing a small child and is finished in a warm terracotta color with a heavy, rustic texture. The integral base is incised Peggy Mach and 1979 © ALVA, and the underside retains a gold foil label reading Authentic Reproduction COPYRIGHTED by Alva Museum Replicas Long Island City, N.Y. The sculpture is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity and artist biography pamphlet.Measures: 8 x 10 inches.The sculpture is in good condition with minor surface scuffs and small white marks consistent with the cast material. There are no apparent chips, cracks, or professional repairs. The accompanying documentation shows minor yellowing and light creases.
