A pair of cast iron bookends featuring a relief representation of the Liberty Bell within a classical architectural frame. The frames are designed with a brick-patterned lintel supported by acanthus-decorated columns, housing bells that include the historical inscription and characteristic crack. Both pieces are finished in a dark statuary bronze patina with golden-bronze highlights.Height: 4.75 inchesWidth: 4.25 inchesDepth: 2.25 inches.Overall good condition consistent with age and use. There is visible wear to the golden-bronze highlights on the raised relief areas and surface dust in recessed sections. The undersides exhibit significant green verdigris oxidation.
