An American Flyer S-gauge model train locomotive and tender set produced by the A. C. Gilbert Company. The locomotive cab side displays the number 308, and the tender is marked with Reading Lines and American Flyer Lines logos. Both pieces feature molded plastic shells mounted on die-cast metal chassis, with the locomotive housing a smoke-producing unit as indicated by the patent number on the underside.Overall Length: 16.5 inchesTrack Gauge: 0.675 inches.This set is in vintage condition with significant accumulations of surface dust and grime throughout. There is visible paint wear and scuffing to the tender decals and shell edges. Metal components show signs of oxidation and grease buildup, and the electrical wiring exhibits insulation wear. The item is untested and sold in as-is condition.
