An American figural lidded dish produced by Hirsch Mfg, modeled as a brooding hen sitting atop a woven nest. The two-piece stoneware set features a lid with molded feathering and a base with a dense basket-weave texture. Height: 5.75 inchesLength: 8 inchesWidth: 6 inchesThe dish is in good vintage condition, with the general character of expected surface wear. Specific faults include visible paint loss and surface rubbing to the pink accents on the hen's comb and wattles.
