Large vintage floral spray brooch in the bold Retro style of 1940s American costume jewelry. The body is gold colored metal formed into ribbon like petals and curled leaves, with several petals finished in a warmer rose gold color for contrast. The flower center holds a cluster of round and oval faceted green stones set in prongs, surrounded by a crescent of small clear pave set stones. More clear stones run along the outer edge of the petals and down the long stem, which trails below the flower head in two slender pave set tails. Measures roughly three and a half inches long. The back is openwork gold colored metal with a straight pin and a rolling safety catch, and no maker signature is visible. Condition is good with age appropriate wear. There is darkening and some plating loss on the rose gold colored leaves and a little dulling of the clear stones. All stones appear present in the photos. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $40 to $75 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
