Sterling Silver 925 Figaro Chain Necklace

Heavy sterling silver figaro chain necklace. The figaro pattern alternates one long flat oval link with three shorter curb links, and this chain is a wide substantial gauge rather than a light fashion chain, with the link faces diamond cut so they throw a lot of shine. It closes with a large lobster claw clasp, and the flat tag at the clasp end is stamped ITALY, the source of most sterling chain sold in the United States. As shown on the display bust in the photos, it hangs at a comfortable everyday length that sits below the collar. Condition is very good. All links appear tight and intact end to end, the clasp opens and closes, and the piece shows only light surface tarnish and small scratches consistent with normal wear. A silver polishing cloth brings it back to full brightness in minutes. 925 means sterling, 92.5 percent pure silver with the balance copper for strength, which is why a solid sterling chain has real weight compared to plated or hollow chain.
