Three ornate vintage brooches. (1) Hand painted Russian style lacquer brooch on a thick oval of black papier mache. A large golden rose and a spray of green, orange, and gold flowers on a deep burgundy ground in a fine gold scrolling border. Reverse is plain black lacquer with a pin bar. Small area of abrasion and paint loss along one edge of the painted panel. (2) Hand painted porcelain brooch, an oval white plaque with a bouquet of yellow, pink, purple, and blue flowers and green leaves, in an ornate silver colored filigree frame of twisted wire scrolls and bead clusters. Reverse shows the gray porcelain back, wire frame, and old adhesive. No sterling stamp visible. (3) Antiqued gold colored brooch, wide openwork border of coiled rope loops, centered with an oval reverse carved glass intaglio, a womans profile in gold on a pink ground. Back shows the clear glass reverse and a pin with C clasp. All three are good. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $30 to $60 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
