A U.S. Military Modular Sleep System (MSS) featuring multiple components designed for variable environmental conditions. The assembly consists of a black nylon compression stuff sack, a Woodland camouflage bivy cover, and two olive drab green synthetic insulated sleeping bags. The compression sack is designed with six adjustable webbing straps and is fitted with black plastic YKK slide buckles. The bivy cover is constructed from a waterproof breathable material and features a sewn-in manufacturer's label identifying it as a BIVY COVER. The two sleeping bags are manufactured with ripstop nylon shells and synthetic polyester insulation, serving as the patrol and intermediate cold weather layers of the modular assembly. Condition: The items are in used military surplus condition with signs of wear consistent with field use. The nylon and camouflage fabrics show surface creasing from storage. All plastic buckles and webbing straps appear intact and functional. The sleeping bags and bivy cover are currently rolled and secured with rubber bands.
