A trio of West German Bundeswehr (Federal Armed Forces) 4-piece nested field cutlery sets, historically known as Essbesteck. Each set is manufactured from stainless steel and consists of a large spoon, a four-tine fork, a serrated knife, and a combined can and bottle opener tool that functions as a nesting carrier. The pieces feature various stamped markings including the BUND designation and manufacturer marks for OFW (Odin-Werkhaus, Solingen) and WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), as well as a contractor stamp for NAHT Hamburg. Individual components show production year codes including 62, 63, 80, 82, and 84. All components are marked ROSTFREI, indicating stainless steel construction. Length approx. 19 cm (7.5 inches measured against an inch-scale ruler). Condition: These sets are in issued military surplus condition with evidence of authentic field use. Surfaces show consistent scratches, scuffs, and areas of minor pitting throughout the metal. The items are mixed-date sets with components originating from various production years. The mechanical nesting function remains intact and secure for all three sets.
