Antique Star Threads Fast Colors oak strand floss and spool cabinet. Nice cabinet with the red and white Star label on both sides of the cabinet. All five pull out drawers have two metal handles. Four of the drawers features glass fronts. The top drawer has a wood front with the wording “STAR THREADS FAST COLORS”. That drawer opens to a totally open storage area. The lower four drawers open to each drawer having 12 (2 rows of 6) cardboard storage bins with a large supply of varied colors of six strand floss. Cabinet has a split in the wood down one side panel but otherwise showing light wear to make a great and usable display. Cabinet measures 15.5” tall, 18” wide and 15.5” deep. NOTE: In addition to the very large supply of six strand floss included with this cabinet there is also a great collection of papers included that contains the following: - The American Thread Company’s Star Yoke Book, book No. 1, copyright 1921. This is a 23 page booklet that also includes information as well as illustrations. In excellent condition. Measures 10.5” x 7.5”. - The American Thread Company’s Star Book of Children’s Wear, book No. 2, copyright 1921, This 20 page booklet includes information as well as illustrations. In excellent condition. Measures 10.5” x 7.5”. - Wrights 1955 Catalog, Quality Notions and Trimmings. This 20 page booklet includes information as well as color illustrations. Also included is a pull-out full color “Notion Color Card” with the real cloth samples. In excellent condition. Measures 10.75” x 8.25”. - Over (30) mail envelopes from Lily Sewing Treads, Lilly Mills Company. Envelopes include a cover letter and fliers of “Price Lists and Order Forms”. These are from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. The cover letters are very insightful and down to earth with a real personal touch. - Fold out color pamphlet on Lily Skytone, Big Ball, 250 and 200 yards. - (3) hang up/fold out sewing tread color charts, with real thread samples to show all the colors available. Measures 9.5” x 4.5” and one folds out to 9.5” x 9”. - Small multi-page booklet on “A Brief Story About Sea Island Cotton, No 300”. Measures 3.5” x 2.5” - Meyer & Co. Kut-Fer-U Cloths, Meyers Handy Crotch Device for measuring. - M.
