Excellent selection of a Session 500: Mark IV Series 15 in. Black Widow amp produced by Peavey. Produced in the 1980’s , the amp is known for its massive headroom, “sweet” clean sound, and significant weight. The amp delivers 250 Watts of power, and a single 15-inch Peavey Black Widow driver, famous for its durability and high-fidelity response. The amp also features a comprehensive 4-band EQ, presence control, and a variable crossover control. Buit in effect include a classic spring reverb, a period specific phaser, and a unique “string effect” distortion. Many consider the Session 500 to be one of the best steel guitar amps ever made due to its “mellow” yet “biting” tone. Amp weights approx. between 80 to 96 lbs. and measures 23” H x 26” W x 10” D. This direct unit itself is in great condition with minimal observable damage based upon general overview. Unit has been plugged in to confirm that it turns on.
