19th Century French engraving titled "Italie Costumes Moderne", depicting traditional Italian figures from the Roman countryside, including a peasant woman, shepherd, and young women of Tivoli and Nettuno. Plate 8, with multilingual captions along the top and bottom identifying each figure. Signed in plate "Demoraine det." (lower left) and “Danois sculpt.” (lower right), with Paris imprint “Imp. de Logan, r. de la Bucherie.” Finely detailed linework with classical composition on aged paper consistent with period prints. A decorative and collectible example of European costume studies. Across top 1. Aldeana de las cercanias de Roma. 2. Pastor de la Campana de Roma. 3. Doncella de Tivoli. 4. Doncella de Neptune. Lower left Demoraine det. Lower center Plan 8. Lower Right Paris, Imp de Logan r de la Bucherie. Danois sculpt. 1. Paysanne Des Environs de Rome. 2. Berger de la Campagne de Rome. 3.
