Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881–1973). Variations on Las Meninas (after Diego Velazquez), 1959. "The Maids of Honor" includes cover. Each piece from portfolio has artwork attached to black sheet. On verso of black sheet is page, The Maids of Honor, August 26,1957 and measurement of 16 1/8 x 12 3/4". Six color lithographs, printed in France, after Pablo Picasso's celebrated 1957–1959 Variations on Las Meninas (The Maids of Honor). Each sheet bears a printed Picasso signature and depicts figures and scenes inspired by Diego Velazquez's masterpiece Las Meninas. Published as decorative reproductions after the original works. Unframed. Excellent condition with toning due to age.
