Aqua rectangular medicine bottle. Embossed on the front in an indented panel J.R. NICHOLS & CO. Embossed on the sides in indented panels BOSTON and CHEMISTS. Smooth base. Applied tapered lip. Circa 1860s. Retains 85% of the original label for Elixir Peruvian Bark with Protoxide of Iron. Condition is attic found with no damage to the bottle. The label has losses around most of the edges, staining, and fading. Measures approximately 3 inches wide x 10 1/8 inches tall.
