Aqua oval calabash shape flask. Embossed on the front with a flying eagle carrying a banner over a shield above A.R.S. Embossed on the reverse with a shield containing clasped hands and Masonic square and compass above the word UNION in an oval surrounded by a laurel wreath and stars. Open pontiled base. With applied tapered lip. Catalogued by Mckearin as GIV-42. Circa 1860s. Condition is attic found with a ring of content haze midway in the interior of the flask and there is a large open bubble on the side bottom edge of the lip, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide x 8 7/8 inches tall.
