Both leather gauntlets are stamped Carson Glove Company inside, which was founded in 1887 by Robert N. Carson Sr. in San Francisco California. : The original factory burned down during the San Francisco Earthquake, prompting a move to Marin County (San Rafael).1914–1945. They made gloves for the US Military in World War 1 WW1. The style of these gloves were made mainly between 1885 and 1920. There is a handwritten note in pencil found with this pair of gloves. It reads..." My gloves I used for riding my horse Babe. The saddle I sold. Used when living in Siskiyou County out of Macdoel California up in Sams Neck on Deeter Ranch, when in my early teens".
