Marked Gerz West Germany on the base as well as the metal lid. We see no chips cracks or repairs. Drinking bar halloween owl collection interest. "West" Germany ceased to exist in 1990. These were produced as early as the late 1940s. In European folklore, owls are often seen as watchful guardians of the woodland. Their presence on a stein suggests a tribute to the peaceful and protected atmosphere of the German forest. The acorn motif on the lid and the oak leaf patterns around the base are deeply rooted in German heritage. The oak tree is a national symbol of Germany, representing strength, endurance, and longevity.
