The Marlin Model 56 "Levermatic" is a vintage .22 Long Rifle lever-action repeating rifle produced by the Marlin Firearms Co. from 1955 to 1964. This one is in pretty good condition with the exception of a couple of moderate scratched on the walnut stock on the reverse side that can be easily fixed. The bore appears to be poor at this time but could really use a very good cleaning which could improve it greatly. The action works fine and this piece is complete with original butt plate. Most of the original bluing is still remaining on this rifle. This rifle does not have a serial number because it was manufactured between 1955 and 1964. This rifle is worthy of attention.
