This is an antique wooden rocking chair featuring a beautifully woven natural cane seat and matching tall split-cane back rest panel. The frame is constructed from a rich, warm hardwood finished in a medium amber-brown stain that cleanly showcases the natural wood grain structure. The structural woodwork incorporates an elegant serpentined pressed back top crest rail, deeply curved solid wood armrests terminating in decorative spiral scroll curls, and classic turned spindle leg supports resting on solid wooden rocker runners. The traditional openwork hexagon woven cane inserts are exceptionally tight and well-tensioned, displaying an incredible uniform color with no visible breaks, sagging, or frayed cane strands. The entire rocking chair retains an exceptional, well-preserved historical character with only minor superficial scuffs and light storage dust consistent with gentle domestic care and long-term indoor protection. This classic piece serves as a remarkable addition to traditional living spaces, nursery rooms, or historic farmhouse and country cottage staging. Please review all the provided front, side profile, and woven texture close-up photographs to carefully evaluate the structural integrity, cane weave pattern, and exact cosmetic condition. This lot is for pick up by appointment only at 301 E. Park St. REAR Elizabethtown PA 17022 on Wednesday, 9/16 from 10 to 4 PM. Please call or text 717-286-8282 to schedule an appointment.
