Scarce McCauley Patent core box plane with ratcheting cutter adjustment, made on U.S. Pat. No. 751,671 issued to John E. McCauley of Springfield, Ohio. The patent was assigned to the manufacturer William D. Bayley of Springfield Ohio, this plane is marked G.I.C.CO which stands for Grey Iron Casting Co. which was a company Bayley owned. This plane is complete and fine.
