ca. 1830's; Each early era chip carved design, originally designed to have friction-set handle: Treadle lathe turned blank with variegated tulip and stars design with off-set variegated leaves and pie crimp double chip carved border, 4 3/8" dia. X 1 3/8", Condition: extensive wear from use, dry-in cracking and bleached tone. Sawn and carved oval shaped blank with ball flower design with center-line set matching ball flowers, 4" x 4 1/2" x 7/8", Condition: extensive wear from use, some dry-in cracking and surface staining.
