ca. late 20th century; Signed, "Turtle Creek Pottery, Morrow, Ohio." by unsigned artist. Fine wheel thrown bulbous shaped jar with domed lid, applied rope-twist ear handles, fine "Shenandoah Valley" design decoration with yellow-slip ground, brush painted tulip stem in flowing green and brown glaze decoration. A secondary decoration of a rooster is similarly brush decorated on reverse side. The domed lid has round knob with brushstroke brown-green decoration. The piece has a fine over-fired crackled glazed finish; 8 1/2" dia. X 15"H; Condition: Good - no noted damage.
