ca. 2011; Signed in pen by artist "Scott Madeira, at Breininger Pottery, Robesonia, Pa," hand molded "wood splitter and his jug" scene, freehand molded depicting a bearded man in cap seated on a stump taking a sip from a redware jug. This unique crafted scene is individually crafted and placed onto an oval plateau base with mottled green and brown glazed accents. Scott Madeira was doing most of the figural pieces at Breininger Pottery; 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 9 3/4"; Condition: Good- no noted damage. The piece has a striking similarity to Lester Breininger, but it is unknown if that was the case.
