Rare piece. Tin-over-cardboard body with printed directions on the reverse. The top is tin and lifts up to reveal the other days in the calendar. On the tin itself is an advertisement recruiting for the US Army and a wheel with the days. At the bottom is another wheel for the months. Marked on bottom left edge with maker and patent date of 1909. Provenance: The collection of Russell and Darlene Snyder. 22"H x 13 1/2"W Overall very good. The top cardboard advertisement with damage to each and below the day, so it was glued to a thin backerboard and the missing parts colored in to mask the repair.
